This temple is really an animal refuge. The animals are brought here when abandoned by poachers. So not only are the animals being treated well at the Tiger Temple, but they are essentially rescued by them.

I went to the Tiger Temple earlier today. I went up to each of the tigers, and I can guarantee that none of them are de-clawed. They welcome visitors to come in the morning, where they can watch the tigers being fed and exercised (that is what makes them so lethargic during the hot afternoons). They were feeding the animals freshly picked fruit, and the monks that own the temple share rice with them.
