OP Nayyar (Music composing using imaginative modification of core Indian classical Raagas) and Asha and Rafi (singing) represented an awesome musical combination in Hindi films. This song is a monumental evidence of this truth. A bygone, glorious past anyway.

as a very young child in Srinagar I remember seeing this movie being filmed in one of the lovely gardens there. the cast and crew then sat down to lunch and Shammi made everyone laugh by throwing small chunks of fruit at the director!This, of course, was before Hindus were ethnically cleansed from Kashmir by muslims.
