south, about 30 minutes, you have to go off the beaten track to get to the beach (it's on some country roads), but i'm sure all the locals know how to get there and there must be some maps too.

this is in pranburi, a beach just south of hua hin, which is a major resort area.

hua hin is on the pacific coast southwest of bangkok. it's only about a two or three hour drive from the city.
