No people of the earth can ever b suppressed like this. It can NOT evolve. It can NOT develop. Suppression such as Islam KILLS creativity - human ingenuity. NO wonder these ppl r now taking drugs and overdosing. There is NOTHING for them...they r suffocating. Afghans r in the same boat. I HATE ISLAM (ALL religions) - ROOT of ALL evil. afghnistan was once a prosperous and modern country just like Iran in the 60's and 70's. May we ALL get free of this disease!

When arabs conquered Iran and wanted to annihilate our culture and language, it was the Dihkans who stood up against them. Ferdowsi was himself son of Dihkan. We ow our Iranian identity to these brave people. Payande baad Iran

Very impressive movie. I would not have imagined there were such decent people in the countryside of Iran.In such oppressive nations, the best forces, those could bring a change, are always the first to leave, exactly as that lady was saying - the young good ones left for the US.Sad.

To Saranzm:Please give us an example of Islamic regime that brought the happiness and peace for own nation and respect to other nations.
