It's not exactly a musical per se, it's more of an opera (Musicals didn't exist when Notre Dame de Paris was written)

OMG! I love this song, it's very good in french although I prefer the italian version. the singers here are very clever, all of them. I love Frollo's part, sooo mad! Go Frollo, mon amour!!! p.s. I'm italian so sorry for my bad spelling and everything

You can bye all day long but it wouldn't make this into an Italian song.For starters the lyrics are in french and also Cocciante would have been a really bad composer had he composed a musical with French lyrics, based on a French book which tells a tale based in a Paris in any other musical style than French.So every time that you say that this is an Italian song you are actually saying that Cocciante is a bad composer. bye.
