For some reason XP LAGS when I type. It takes 14 seconds just to load YouTube. 6 seconds to load google. Vista, on the same machine does all that in just one or two seconds. Vista IS faster than XP. No matter what people say it is on my computer...

It does suck, even Microsoft said so, that's why Windows 7 is being brought forward.Pitty though, Server 2008 is fast, not sure what they did to Vista as it uses same kernel. Probably just rushed.

Then you simply do not know how to use it correctly.No matter how "Pro" you are, if you can't USE the tools it won't be any good. And I disabled the swap. It is atleast 3 times as fast as XP, ON the same computer.

Mind telling me how much memory is actually stored in the swap after boot? Don't be ridiculous, Vista runs only o.k. on 1GB RAM (much better on 2GB). I've had to downgrade a whole bunch of systems lately, because MS no longer sells XP, i.e. even the crappiest laptops come with Vista nowadays. Thus you have a 512MB RAM notebook causing a 3 second delay upon scrolling in a plain HTML site in FX3.I'm all pro OSS and even MS has some good products, but Vista is just one bloated fart of a system.

Oh... so you have a computer from 1999 (which would have max. 32~64MB RAM back then) running Vista and it even supplies drivers for your "Display", despite the fact that monitors do HAVE drivers? Can you also play Crysis on it?
