there is lot confusion about what is psychobilly & what is not the modern scene is a bit commercial & pop sounding the old scene avoided that & thats what people liked about it for me the old scene is better but times move on, it will prob suffer same fate as commercial rockabilly which brought about psychobilly the METEORS saved the scene & brethed life back in 2 it. long live psycho.

That's called "nostalgia". It's not necessarily that bands were better, it's just that our perception changed over the years. We've seen it all before. Most people who started as teenagers will tell you that the excitement, energy etc. isn't the same anymore - but it's just that we've gotten used to all that. Go to psycho festivals outside Europe and you'll know what I mean. In Brazil, everybody went absolutely crazy when they saw The Meteors, Flintstones etc. for the first time!

You re so damn right,doyster.I saw them several times here in Germany,i wore their band name on my jackets, t-shirts and schoolbags.Yeah ,fuck ,we re getting oldbut no one can take the memories of those true wreckin days away from us!What followed,was fucking warmed up rehash trash.Like you say ,it ll never be the same,but we were a part of it !! were just getting old mate saw them all over the country back then , still go now and again the first two albums are classics ,Fenech will alway claim that what ever the line up is at the time is the best, but thats flannel, for me it was over by 84 they are still worth a look in 2008 but the crowd, the electricity, is a shadow of its former self it was mental at their gigs back then ,the Glasgow recording of live 1 was amazing, London gigs always blinding ,Blue sunshine baby R.I.P Dawn
