Body language, voice tones, and other things can give you away. "Other" is the complex subject.Hypnosis was a big hobby for me awhile back. ;)

NLP? Subliminal Suggestion? Hypnosis? Very unlikely. Before we even start guessing how he does it we would need to know on how many punters and cashiers he tried this trick / con and how much the video was edited. Why no comments from the cashiers supervisors? Nobody stopped him from trying this when he had fooled one cashier? The surprising thing is that so many commentators on YouTube have been conned into believing that NLP and similar nonsense is involved. Reinhard

nah, derren is totally lightside. i'm surprised tv networks allow him on tv. he could give a two paragraph speech with crazy double meanings throughout the thing and weird pictures in the background, he'd slam his hands on the table and everyone would be calling him their leader.
