The mustang is definitely screaming for attention alright, because its performance doesn't give it the attention it wants lolEven the $80k 540hp GT500KR is getting owned by Chevy's awesome $60k less powerful CORVETTE Z06 lolA Stage 2 STi with less than 400hp will hang with a $80k 540hp GT500KR and still be waaay cheaper. Ford better put more Shelby badges to give it more attention lol

You can easily mod an STI to go head to head and even beat a GTR. My STI performs on par with my 07 911 Turbo (except for top speed) and it beats a Ford GT in every category (again except top speed).

No, they sell plenty of cars. The changes to the exterior were all for WRC, all the winning cars are hatchbacks, Subaru wants to win some more World Championships, ergo the new design.

focus, and evo yes... but GTR? the GTR isnt even in the same universe as the STI. GTR destroys just about everything, to include 911 turbos and C6 vetts. so no comparison to sti is needed. Though, the STI can always aspire towards the GTR, but will probably never match it in all categories.

comparing a subaru imprezza and a ford/shelby mustang?? bit obvious that the scooby would walk all over the mustang. Why didn't you compare the subaru and say something in the same league? the new evo, or GTR, or the new Focus ST.

Just because it's made in Asia doesn't mean it's a "Ricer." A Ricer is a certain kind of car with a certain look, driven by certain types of people who also conform to a certain look. A Ford Focus and VW Golf are ricers, neither are made in Asia.
