Mmmm, I also noticed that O-ren's katana is shorter than usual, it seems more like a kodachi sword, for people that may be unfamiliar with this word, a samurai always have two swords with him, the katana and the kodachi sword, this shorter sword was used at personal defense in a desperate case or inside a house, because it was a samurai's duty to leave his katana at the entrance...hope this info was refreshing for everyone!! :)
