There is gravity on the Far Side of the Moon, he does have a space suit and there's no reason one couldn't drive fast on other celestial bodies.

I guess on the "other side" of the moon motorcycles can run well with no gravity and no need for space suit and you can drive quite fast lol other than many non scientific accurate depictions this film still manages to look interesting lol
