anyone arguing history based on this movie is a fucking retard. I'm persian and this doesn't offend me in the least, because it isn't meant to be historically accurate in any way. but to suggest that thermopylae was the start of some great battle between west and east that still rages today (US vs. middle east) is ridiculous. the persians opposed the filth of the islamic empire that now controls the middle east
